Barratt West Midlands wishes to engage with the local community to present our proposals for the site and seek your views prior to submitting a planning application in early 2025. The site spans the boundary between Malvern Hills and Wyre Forest District Councils administrative areas and as such any future planning application will be determined by both authorities.
Barratt Developments PLC employs over 6,000 people operating across all sectors of the market. Our commitment to the highest standards of design, construction, quality and customer service has earned us every major industry award in recent years.
The impact of the wider business can be summarised below:
This public consultation exercise sets out our initial design proposals as well as the technical and environmental considerations which have informed the proposed design. We are keen to engage with the local community and all other stakeholder parties before finalising our proposals and submitting a planning application in early 2025.
Barratt’s vision is to create a sustainable and connected neighbourhood that blends seamlessly with Astley Cross’ character, offering a range of affordable housing options and better connections to local amenities.
The proposals aim to meet local housing needs and priorities, including contributing to addressing Malvern Hills District’s current housing land supply shortfall and providing affordable housing. Barratt West Midlands welcomes community feedback to help shape this exciting new development.
