LAND TO THE SOUTH OF REDHOUSE LANE, STOURPORT-ON-SEVERN

PUBLIC CONSULTATION

INTRODUCTION

Barratt West Midlands is delighted to promote the residential development of land located to the south west of  Astley Cross, Stourport-on-Severn. An outline planning application is currently being prepared for the site, with the aim of securing permission for the development of up to 160 homes, consisting of a mix of market and affordable properties. On site publicly accessible open space will also be provided.

Barratt West Midlands wishes to engage with the local community to present our proposals for the site and seek your views prior to submitting a planning application in early 2025. The site spans the boundary between Malvern Hills and Wyre Forest District Councils administrative areas and as such any future planning application will be determined by both authorities.

THE VISION FOR THE SITE

This public consultation exercise sets out our initial design proposals as well as the technical and environmental considerations which have informed the proposed design. We are keen to engage with the local community and all other stakeholder parties before finalising our proposals and submitting a planning application in early 2025.

Barratt’s vision is to create a sustainable and connected neighbourhood that blends seamlessly with Astley Cross’ character, offering a range of affordable housing options and better connections to local amenities.

The proposals aim to meet local housing needs and priorities, including contributing to addressing Malvern Hills District’s current housing land supply shortfall and providing affordable housing. Barratt West Midlands welcomes community feedback to help shape this exciting new development.
